SCENARIO: Is the library instruction program working?
Setting: A comprehensive university with a large number of transfer students where undergraduate education is emphasized. The college library offers a series of drop-in information competency workshops.
Role: You’re a new coordinator for the library’s instruction program. You are responsible for developing, scheduling, and teaching the library’s drop-in workshops.
Problem: You’re trying to figure out how effective these workshops because you want to be efficient about deploying your library’s limited resources – you! You’d like to only offer sessions that meet the students’ needs and you’d like to know the best days/times to schedule your drop-in sessions to maximize the number of attendees.
